3.What Civilian Compass is, and what it isn't
Civilian Compass is a tool for researching careers and organizing conversations. It is not a job placement service, a recruiter, or an employment agency. We don't promise you a job, an interview, a salary, or any particular outcome.
Nothing here is legal, financial, tax, VA benefits, or medical advice. For any of that, talk to someone licensed to give it.
4.Some of what you see is generated by AI
Company lists, suggested contacts, and analysis are generated in part by automated systems. They can be wrong, out of date, or incomplete. Verify anything you're going to act on.
5.Your account
You're responsible for your login and for the accuracy of what you enter. One account per person.
6.What we collect
Your answers, your conversation log and ratings, and basic usage data. We collect your security clearance level because it changes which roles are realistic for you. We do not collect your disability rating or your discharge characterization.
7.What we do with it
We use it to run the platform for you. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share what you enter with employers, recruiters, or hiring managers.
We may create de-identified, aggregated data from platform activity and use, publish, or license it. De-identified means it can't reasonably be tied back to you.
8.Text messages
Separate consent, separate checkbox. Message and data rates apply. Reply STOP to end. Consent isn't a condition of using the platform.
9.Testimonials
If you give us a testimonial or review, you're giving us permission to use it in marketing, including your first name and general background, unless you tell us otherwise.
10.How you behave toward other people
This process involves reaching out to real people, on your own, using your own accounts. Reach out professionally, take no for an answer, and don't contact anyone who's asked you not to. Don't scrape, resell, or redistribute contact information. We can suspend accounts for this.
11.What's ours
The platform, the framework, the content, and the brand belong to Civilian Compass LLC. What you write stays yours.
12.Cost
Free today. No paid tier. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future, with notice, and we won't retroactively charge you for what you've already done.
13.Ending it
